Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a state-of-the-art, full-service hybrid hospital in Westminster, MA, seeking a Board-Certified Surgeon or Residency-Trained Veterinarian to join their skilled and compassionate team. Combining general practice with a fully operational, 7-day-a-week emergency and urgent care center, the hospital delivers exceptional veterinary care in a modern, 9,000 square-foot facility equipped with advanced technology.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm, and Saturday to Sunday from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling designed to support work-life balance.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Surgeon will perform a wide range of surgical procedures, including soft tissue surgery, spaying and neutering, ocular surgery, orthopedic surgery, and dental surgery. Responsibilities include pre-surgical assessments, ensuring patients are prepared for anesthesia, conducting surgeries within designated sterile surgical suites, and overseeing post-operative monitoring and pain management. The role is suited to an experienced surgeon who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to delivering the highest standards of patient care.
Practice Details
The hospital features two modern surgical suites, an in-house laboratory, digital radiography (including dental), ultrasound, and endoscopy. Stringent surgical protocols are followed, including the use of sterile packs, surgical attire, and single-use gloves. The facility also offers advanced diagnostic capabilities, routine wellness care, and emergency surgery. The culture is highly collaborative, with a strong emphasis on efficiency, teamwork, and patient-centered care.
Team
The hospital has five DVMs supported by an experienced and highly trained support team, maintaining a 2:1 technician-to-doctor ratio to ensure efficient workflows and exceptional patient care.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
