Job Description

Introduction
Our client is seeking a full-time Veterinary Surgeon at a specialty and emergency hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role offers the opportunity to join a collaborative, multi-specialty team providing advanced surgical care for dogs and cats within a state-of-the-art facility.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time surgical role with scheduling arranged to support a healthy work-life balance within the hospital’s operating structure.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Surgeon will provide advanced surgical care for canine and feline patients, including soft tissue and orthopedic procedures. Responsibilities include performing pre-surgical evaluations, developing and executing surgical treatment plans, conducting post-operative care, and maintaining clear client communication while ensuring high standards of patient care.

The hospital offers 24/7 emergency and specialty services, including surgery, internal medicine, neurology, medical oncology, and critical care, within a modern, well-equipped facility designed to support advanced patient care in Salt Lake City.

Team Size
The hospital is staffed by a collaborative team of specialty and emergency veterinarians, supported by experienced veterinary technicians and administrative personnel to ensure high-quality care.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
