Introduction
Our client is a hospital in Thousand Oaks, California, hiring a full-time Board-Certified Veterinary Surgeon to join their 24-hour specialty and emergency referral center. This state-of-the-art, multi-specialty hospital provides advanced veterinary care in a supportive and collaborative environment focused on professional growth and excellence in patient outcomes.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This role offers full-time scheduling within a well-supported emergency and specialty care framework. Exact shift patterns can be tailored to ensure a balanced workload and continuity of care for surgical patients.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The surgeon will perform a range of soft tissue and orthopedic procedures, manage post-operative care, and consult with clients and referring veterinarians. As part of a highly skilled team, the surgeon will collaborate across specialties to develop integrated treatment plans. This position is suited for an experienced professional committed to innovation and high-quality surgical outcomes.

The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostics and surgical tools, including digital radiography, CT, ultrasonography, endoscopy, fluoroscopy, and echocardiography. Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
