Introduction
Our client is an AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital seeking a full-time, board-certified or residency-trained Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join its multidisciplinary team. The hospital provides General Practice, Emergency and Specialty medicine for a broad range of species, including dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, ferrets, rodents, reptiles and other exotic animals. The practice has a long-established history of providing high-quality veterinary care and offers a collaborative environment with access to experienced clinicians across multiple disciplines.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon will provide specialist surgical care within a busy multidisciplinary hospital, working alongside veterinarians across General Practice, Emergency and Specialty medicine. The role offers clinical autonomy and opportunities to manage a varied surgical caseload, with access to experienced colleagues across other specialties for consultation and support. The successful candidate must be board-certified or residency-trained in small animal surgery and will be supported in delivering high-quality patient care within an established clinical environment.

Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA accredited and operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, providing General Practice, Emergency and Specialty services within the same facility. Routine appointments are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM, while emergency services operate continuously. The modern facility offers digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, rhinoscopy, and extensive laboratory, dental, surgical and hospitalization capabilities. Additional specialty services include Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Behavior Medicine and advanced Surgery. The hospital also maintains relationships with local animal shelters and participates in community initiatives.

Team
The hospital has a large, experienced multidisciplinary veterinary team, with clinicians working across small animal, Emergency, exotic animal and Specialty medicine. The team is supported by highly skilled veterinary support staff and promotes a collaborative culture built around clinical autonomy, knowledge sharing and professional development. Veterinarians have opportunities to consult with colleagues across different specialties, with access to structured onboarding, mentorship and ongoing clinical development.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
