Introduction
Our client is a 24-hour veterinary hospital hiring for a Veterinary Surgeon role. The clinic operates within a fully integrated specialty environment and is seeking a dedicated Surgeon to join the team as the sole on-site surgical lead, supported by a robust regional network of specialists and resources.

Opening Hours
The hospital is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Surgeon to become the sole dedicated surgeon on-site. You will take ownership of surgical cases ranging from routine to complex while working within a fully integrated specialty environment. The position includes close collaboration with in-house colleagues across internal medicine, neurology, ophthalmology, oncology, radiology, and emergency and critical care, enabling comprehensive case management and high-quality patient outcomes.

Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA-accredited and Fear Free certified. Facilities include a state-of-the-art surgery suite with advanced monitoring and anesthesia, on-site digital radiography, CT, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy, as well as dedicated ICU and isolation suites for postoperative care. The practice utilizes a fully integrated EMR system and specialty support staff to streamline workflows and promotes a culture of collaborative planning and discussion on surgical cases.

Team
The hospital is staffed with experienced specialists across multiple disciplines, including internal medicine, neurology and neurosurgery, ophthalmology, oncology, radiology, emergency and critical care, with strong primary care integration. This multispecialty ecosystem provides a steady referral stream and a diverse surgical caseload, offering consistent professional engagement and variety.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
