Introduction
Our client is a hospital looking to hire an Equine Surgeon on either a full-time or part-time basis. Dedicated exclusively to equine patients, this is an exciting opportunity to join a practice focused on delivering high-quality equine care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role covers the full scope of Equine Surgeon responsibilities, combining elective surgery, sports medicine, and lameness. You’ll work across a varied equine caseload while collaborating closely with the wider veterinary team to provide excellent patient care. There is no emergency surgery or surgical on-call, with a shared emergency rotation of approximately one evening per week and every fifth weekend. This opportunity is suited to a board-certified or residency-trained Equine Surgeon (ACVS), or an experienced equine surgeon with a strong interest in sports medicine.

Practice Details
The hospital provides the full scope of equine-focused GP services and is equipped with advanced diagnostic equipment including, but not limited to, Digital Radiography, Ultrasound, and an In-House Laboratory. The state-of-the-art equine facility features a dedicated equine surgical suite, a Mare Motel with six stalls and runs, and ambulatory care for horses. The practice also offers access to advanced referral imaging, including CT, MRI, and nuclear scintigraphy (bone scan) through nearby specialty facilities. In addition, they provide equine chiropractic treatment, breeding services, and acupuncture. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

You’ll be joining a team of 5 DVMs, supported by a passionate and highly experienced team of certified technicians, veterinary assistants, and client service representatives. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
