Our client is a state-of-the-art specialty and emergency veterinary hospital that is currently seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join its advanced referral team. The hospital provides 24-hour care to dogs and cats and offers an exceptional opportunity for a board-certified or board-eligible surgeon to play a key role in the continued growth and development of a high-performing surgical service. This position is ideal for a surgeon who is passionate about clinical excellence, leadership, and practicing advanced medicine within a collaborative specialty environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, providing continuous emergency and specialty care. This is a full-time position, with flexibility available to discuss scheduling and hours to support both clinical responsibilities and work-life balance. The structure of the service allows surgeons to focus on their specialty while being supported by a robust emergency and critical care team.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As Veterinary Surgeon, you will be responsible for building, leading, and expanding the hospital’s surgical service, serving as a clinical leader within the specialty team. You will manage a wide range of advanced surgical cases, collaborate closely with referring veterinarians and in-house specialists, and contribute to the strategic growth of surgical services. In addition to clinical excellence, you will play a key role in mentoring clinicians, supporting case discussions, and helping shape medical standards across the hospital. This role is suited to an experienced DVM who is board-certified or board-eligible, with a strong interest in leadership and service development.

Practice Details
The hospital is a brand-new, 20,000+ square foot, state-of-the-art specialty and emergency facility, designed to support advanced referral medicine at the highest level. The facility offers cutting-edge infrastructure and resources to support complex surgical cases and multidisciplinary collaboration. Services provided include surgery and anesthesia, critical and urgent care, internal medicine, oncology, cardiology, radiology, anesthesiology, and more, allowing for seamless case management and exceptional patient outcomes.

Team
You will join a highly accomplished team of 19 doctors, including five full-time board-certified critical care specialists, alongside board-certified specialists in Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Cardiology, Radiology, and Anesthesiology. The hospital is supported by a skilled and dedicated support staff who are integral to delivering advanced patient care and maintaining efficient workflows. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
