Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Veterinary Surgeon on either a full-time or part-time basis. This 24/7 specialty and emergency hospital provides advanced care for cats, dogs, avians, and exotic animals and is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon or an individual who has completed surgical residency training to join its growing team.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will provide advanced surgical care while working collaboratively with specialists, emergency clinicians, and the referral community. Your clinical responsibilities include oncologic surgery, orthopedic surgery, and soft tissue surgery, delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced specialty environment. You will also collaborate closely with Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, and other specialty services to ensure comprehensive patient care. This opportunity is suited to experienced veterinarians who are board-certified or have completed surgical residency training.

Practice Details
This AAHA-accredited specialty and emergency hospital operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and provides emergency services alongside Ophthalmology, with plans to expand additional specialty services. The hospital is staffed by experienced emergency veterinarians who are comfortable hospitalizing and overseeing specialty cases, creating a collaborative environment for advanced patient care. Surgical services include oncologic surgery, orthopedic surgery, and soft tissue surgery. The hospital offers a highly skilled support team, tailored on-call schedules designed to support work-life balance, and access to collaboration with Anesthesia, Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Critical Care specialists across the regional hospital network.

Team
The hospital has 11 DVMs and a great tenured support team. The collaborative environment includes experienced emergency clinicians, skilled technicians, and specialists who work closely together to deliver comprehensive specialty care and support one another through a culture of teamwork and clinical excellence.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
