Our client is a leading specialty and emergency hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina, currently seeking a Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Veterinary Surgeon to join their highly skilled team. The hospital provides advanced care for cats and dogs, with a wide range of specialties including internal medicine, oncology, radiology, ophthalmology, emergency, and critical care. This role offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate with an established group of veterinary specialists while working in a state-of-the-art facility.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to ensure comprehensive specialty and emergency coverage. The Veterinary Surgeon position offers a flexible and fair rota, with a strong focus on work-life balance and no excessive scheduling demands.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide variety of small animal surgical procedures while working closely with other specialists to provide the highest standard of patient care. Duties will include advanced surgical case management, diagnostics, collaboration with emergency and specialty teams, and client communication and education. This role is ideal for a surgeon seeking a supportive and collaborative environment where professional growth is encouraged and patient care is always the top priority.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical technology, including a helical CT scanner, digital radiography, color-flow Doppler ultrasound, endoscopy, laparoscopy, advanced anesthetic monitoring systems, and a fully equipped in-house laboratory. With its AAHA-accredited facilities and VECCS-certified emergency services, the practice ensures the highest standard of veterinary medicine and offers a dynamic caseload that allows for ongoing skill development and professional fulfillment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
