A state-of-the-art emergency and specialty hospital in Gig Harbor, Washington is seeking a Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Veterinary Surgeon to join a growing, collaborative specialty team. This opportunity is ideal for a surgeon looking to practice advanced surgery in a modern facility alongside a strong emergency service and multiple specialty disciplines, while maintaining a sustainable work-life balance.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Sunday through Friday from 7:00am to 5:00pm and is closed on Saturdays. Schedules are designed collaboratively to support specialty caseload demands while prioritizing balance and longevity in practice.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Surgeon will deliver advanced soft tissue, orthopedic, and minimally invasive surgical care, working closely with emergency clinicians and specialty colleagues to manage complex referral cases. Responsibilities include surgical consultations, operative case management, post-operative care planning, and collaborative case discussions with internal medicine, neurology, and emergency teams. The incoming surgeon will play a key role in expanding surgical offerings, mentoring clinicians, and contributing to the continued development of a progressive specialty service within a supportive, team-driven environment.

Practice Details
This is a newly built, 21,000-square-foot specialty and emergency hospital equipped to support advanced surgical medicine at the highest level. The facility includes a dedicated ICU with long-term mechanical ventilation, 128-slice CT, MRI, C-arm fluoroscopy, ultrasound, in-house blood bank with component therapy, I-131 therapy, and comprehensive minimally invasive surgery capabilities. Surgical equipment includes an Arthrex arthroscopy tower, full arthroscopic instrumentation, laparoscopic equipment, and multiple powered surgical drive systems, allowing surgeons to practice without limitation.

Team
You will join a multi-doctor specialty team that includes six emergency veterinarians alongside specialists in surgery, internal medicine, and neurology. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
