Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a specialty veterinary hospital seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their team on a full-time basis, working with cats and dogs.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This role focuses on delivering advanced surgical care within a busy referral environment, including orthopedic and soft tissue procedures. You will manage a varied and complex caseload, utilizing advanced imaging and diagnostic tools to support surgical planning and outcomes. The position offers the opportunity to step into an established surgical service while also contributing to its continued growth and development. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including emergency and specialty clinicians, is a key aspect of the role, alongside maintaining excellent communication with clients and referring veterinarians. This position is suited to an experienced, board-certified or residency-trained surgeon.
Practice Details
The hospital is an established specialty facility with a strong referral base and a high surgical caseload. It is equipped with advanced technology including CT, MRI, digital radiology, ultrasound, endoscopy, and laparoscopic and laser surgery capabilities. The practice offers a wide range of services including orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, oncology, internal medicine, intensive care, and full diagnostic services. The environment is highly collaborative, supported by access to a broader network of specialists, and designed to support high standards of medical excellence. Hospital hours are Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, and Sunday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Team
The team consists of 10 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team, fostering a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
