Our client is a hospital providing care for small animal patients and is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This opportunity is available on either a full-time or part-time basis and is ideal for an experienced surgeon looking to work within a collaborative emergency and referral environment. The hospital offers world-class medicine, advanced technology, and a talented multi-specialty team, allowing surgeons to deliver high-quality patient care while working alongside experienced clinicians across several disciplines.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Surgeon will provide advanced surgical care for small animal patients within a specialty and emergency referral setting. Clinical responsibilities include performing emergency surgery, bone and joint surgery, brain and spinal surgery, reconstructive surgery, tissue biopsies, bone biopsies, total hip replacement surgery, and procedures related to hip dysplasia diagnosis and management. The role also involves comprehensive perioperative monitoring, advanced anesthetic monitoring, multimodal analgesia, pain management, and collaboration with other specialty services to optimize patient outcomes. This position is intended for experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
The hospital is a large, 10,000-square-foot AAHA-accredited emergency and referral facility with six exam rooms and two surgery suites. The multi-specialty group includes critical care, surgery, radiology, internal medicine, and rehabilitation services supported by a full-time physical therapist. Equipment and services include CT, digital fluoroscopy, rigid and flexible endoscopy, hyperbaric therapy, advanced anesthetic monitoring, comprehensive perioperative monitoring, and rehabilitation capabilities including an underwater treadmill and K-laser. Services offered include diagnostic imaging, emergency care, internal medicine, interventional radiology, rehabilitation, and surgery. The practice fosters a cohesive and collaborative environment where teamwork, continuous learning, and high-quality patient care are central to daily operations.

The hospital is staffed by 11 DVMs and a great tenured support team. The culture is collaborative and team-focused, with specialists and support staff working together across multiple disciplines to deliver exceptional patient care and support ongoing clinical development.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
