Introduction
An emergency animal hospital with specialty care is looking to hire a Veterinary Surgeon on either a full-time or part-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative referral environment providing advanced care for cats and dogs.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role covers the full scope of Veterinary Surgeon responsibilities, managing a wide variety of surgical cases within a busy specialty and emergency setting. You will work closely with the hospital’s specialty teams to provide high-quality surgical care while contributing to excellent patient outcomes. The position offers a flexible work schedule. This opportunity is open to board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Surgeons.

Practice Details
The hospital provides specialty services including 24/7 Emergency and Critical Care, Surgery, Clinical Pathology, Oncology, Internal Medicine, and Cardiology. Operating 24/7, the hospital is equipped with an in-house diagnostic laboratory, digital radiography, advanced CT imaging, ultrasound, and endoscopy to support advanced diagnostics and treatment. The 16,000-square-foot facility includes a fully equipped and staffed Emergency Room and Intensive Care Unit, providing comprehensive care for a wide range of emergency and specialty cases.

Team
You will be joining a collaborative team of specialists that includes 1 surgeon, 2 internists, 2 medical oncologists, 1 cardiologist, 2 part-time radiologists, and an in-house clinical pathologist. Working alongside this experienced multidisciplinary team provides an excellent environment for collaboration and delivering high-quality patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
