Introduction
Our client is a 24/7 emergency and specialty referral hospital seeking a Full-Time or Part-Time Veterinary Radiologist to join its team. Caring for cats and dogs, the hospital offers an advanced diagnostic imaging service within a multidisciplinary specialty environment, providing access to an extensive range of imaging modalities and a varied referral caseload. This position is suited to an experienced Veterinary Radiologist.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Radiologist will provide advanced diagnostic imaging services to support the accurate diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of medical and surgical conditions. Clinical responsibilities include performing and interpreting diagnostic imaging studies such as radiographs, ultrasound, CT, and MRI, providing detailed and timely diagnostic reports, and recommending additional imaging or diagnostic procedures where appropriate.
The Radiologist will collaborate closely with emergency veterinarians, specialists, and referring veterinarians to discuss findings, support complex case management, and help guide treatment decisions. Responsibilities may also include performing image-guided procedures, providing consultation on imaging protocols and case selection, and supporting the continued development of the clinical team through education, case discussions, and mentorship while maintaining high standards of diagnostic accuracy and patient care.

Practice Details
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from a newly remodeled, 12,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility. A dedicated Diagnostic Imaging department sits within the hospital’s larger emergency and specialty referral environment, with imaging available for patients managed by other specialty departments as well as through a standalone outpatient referral service.
The Diagnostic Imaging department is particularly well equipped, with access to MRI, spiral CT, fluoroscopy, digital radiography, mobile radiography, and advanced ultrasound with color Doppler. The ultrasound system also provides color flow Doppler and tissue harmonic imaging. CT supports thoracic imaging, orthopedic conditions, complex fractures, tumors, skull and nasal disease, middle and inner ear disease, abdominal disease, and vascular abnormalities, and can also be used to guide minimally invasive biopsies.
Imaging services include CT scanning, MRI, digital radiography, fluoroscopy, abdominal and thoracic ultrasonography, color Doppler ultrasound, gastrointestinal contrast studies, CT angiography, OFA and PennHIP evaluations, ultrasound-guided biopsy, ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration, abdominocentesis, cystocentesis, and thoracocentesis. More advanced contrast studies are also performed and interpreted, including procedures involving contrast administration into joints and around the spinal cord.
The position incorporates more than image interpretation, with opportunities for hands-on ultrasonography, image-guided sampling, advanced cross-sectional imaging, and procedural work. Radiologists work with the wider specialist team to determine the most appropriate imaging modality, interpret findings, and use diagnostic imaging to help guide diagnosis and treatment.

Team
The hospital brings together 11 board-certified and residency-trained specialists alongside a team of ER doctors and more than 40 technicians. The Veterinary Radiologist will work within a genuinely multidisciplinary clinical environment alongside specialists and clinicians across Emergency and Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Surgery, and Diagnostic Imaging.
This multidisciplinary structure provides exposure to a broad imaging caseload, with CT and MRI supporting neurological and surgical cases, ultrasound supporting Internal Medicine and Oncology investigations, and radiography and CT contributing to emergency, orthopedic, and thoracic case management.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
