Introduction
Our client is a specialty referral hospital providing advanced veterinary care for dogs and cats in Sacramento, California. They are seeking an experienced Veterinary Radiologist to join their multidisciplinary team. The practice is open to both full-time and part-time applicants and provides a highly collaborative environment focused on advanced patient care, continuous learning, and specialist medicine.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Radiologist will work alongside specialists across multiple disciplines, contributing to the diagnosis and management of complex referral cases. The role includes collaboration on hospitalized cases through daily doctor rounds, alongside teaching, mentoring, and contributing to the professional development of the hospital’s interns. This position is specifically for an experienced, board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Radiologist.

Practice Details
The hospital operates from a 27,000-square-foot facility featuring 15 exam rooms, six surgical suites, an additional emergency surgical room, and a linear accelerator vault. Advanced equipment includes a 64-slice CT with automatic injector, 1.5 Tesla MRI, complete endoscopic, laparoscopic and thoracoscopic instrumentation, multiple ultrasound systems including color flow Doppler, oxygen cages, two digital radiology suites, a C-arm, and a comprehensive in-house laboratory with Abaxis CBC, PT/PTT and chemistry machines, Heska EPOC, I-STAT, and a colloid osmometer. An Antech laboratory is located within a 10-minute drive. Specialist services include Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Radiology, Surgery, Neurology, Medical and Radiation Oncology, and Emergency/Critical Care. The hospital is AAHA accredited and accredited by the Feline Veterinary Medical Association.

Team
The hospital has 29 DVMs and a great tenured support team, including board-certified specialists across multiple disciplines. The team maintains a collegial and collaborative environment, with daily rounds providing opportunities for case discussion and continuous learning. The hospital also has an established internship program, with teaching and mentoring forming an important part of the team culture.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
