Introduction
Our client is a hospital looking to hire a full-time Veterinary Radiation Oncologist to join their 24-hour specialty and emergency hospital. Caring for cats and dogs, this is an outstanding opportunity to become part of a highly respected multidisciplinary team while working in a modern referral environment. Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of Veterinary Radiation Oncologist responsibilities, managing a varied oncology caseload while working closely with specialists across multiple disciplines to deliver exceptional patient care. The practice is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Radiation Oncologist who enjoys collaborating within a progressive specialty environment. In addition to providing advanced radiation oncology services, you will also handle routine dental procedures as well as more complex surgeries, diagnosing and treating conditions such as periodontal disease, dental trauma, and oral cancers. Specific working hours will be discussed, offering the opportunity to practice within a well-supported and highly collaborative clinical setting.
Practice Details
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing comprehensive emergency care alongside an extensive range of specialty services including Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Radiology, Surgery, Feline Hyperthyroid Treatment, Sports Medicine, Rehabilitation, Anesthesiology, and Critical Care. Housed within a modern 30,000+ square foot facility, the hospital is equipped with, but not limited to, CT, a High Definition MRI scanner, Ultrasound, Endoscopy, Digital Radiography, Surgical Lasers, and an In-House Laboratory. Additional facilities include a dedicated dental suite and an In-House Pharmacy, supporting the delivery of advanced diagnostics and treatment across a wide variety of complex referral cases. As an AAHA-accredited hospital with Feline Veterinary Medical Association Certification and Fear-Free Certified veterinarians, the practice is committed to maintaining exceptional clinical standards while providing specialists with the resources and technology needed to deliver outstanding patient care.
Team
You will be joining a team of 35 DVMs, working alongside a diverse group of specialists, including Anesthesiologists and dedicated anesthesia support staff, to ensure the best possible patient outcomes. The hospital is further supported by experienced veterinary technicians and client service professionals who share a commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care. Led by a supportive leadership team that prioritises collaboration, communication, and professional development, the practice offers an environment where specialists can work seamlessly together while continuing to grow both personally and professionally.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
