Our client is a specialty veterinary hospital seeking a dedicated Veterinary Ophthalmologist to join their established and collaborative team in Plymouth Meeting, PA. This position offers the opportunity to practice advanced ophthalmology within a thriving, multi-specialty environment that has served the Greater Philadelphia community for over 60 years. Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position, with the hospital open for appointments seven days a week. The schedule offers structured hours within a supportive and well-staffed specialty environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Ophthalmologist will provide advanced diagnostic, medical, and surgical ophthalmic care to a diverse caseload. Working alongside a team of board-certified specialists and emergency clinicians, this role involves comprehensive case management, cross-departmental collaboration, and continuity of care for patients with complex ophthalmic and systemic conditions. Both board-certified and residency-trained candidates are encouraged to apply, as the hospital welcomes individuals at different stages of their specialty career.

Practice Details
The hospital operates as a multispecialty referral and emergency center, offering access to a wide range of advanced veterinary disciplines including internal medicine, neurology, surgery, emergency and critical care, advanced imaging, cardiology, and primary care integration. Ophthalmology services are supported by a dedicated ophthalmology suite, slit lamp biomicroscopy, indirect ophthalmoscopy, and advanced phacoemulsification and intraocular surgical tools. Additional diagnostic resources include digital fluoroscopy, CT, radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, and fully integrated EMR systems, all within a 24/7 AAHA-accredited facility equipped with an ICU and isolation suites.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
