Our client is a 24/7 emergency and multi-specialty hospital that is hiring a Medical Veterinary Ophthalmologist on either a full-time or part-time basis. The hospital provides care for Dogs, Cats, Amphibians, Birds, Chinchillas, Ferrets, Fish, Guinea pigs, Hedgehogs, Rabbits, Reptiles, Rodents, and Sugar gliders, offering a unique opportunity to work within a diverse and advanced specialty environment alongside a highly skilled clinical team.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Veterinary Ophthalmologist will be responsible for providing the full scope of ophthalmology responsibilities within a fast-paced emergency and specialty hospital environment. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian who is board certified or residency trained and dedicated to practicing the highest quality of specialty care possible. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative clinical setting while managing a varied and complex caseload. Doctor hours are to be discussed.

Practice Details
This is a brand-new, state-of-the-art hospital offering 24/7 emergency services alongside specialty services in Anesthesia, Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Neurology and Neurosurgery, and Surgery. The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment technology, including but not limited to a 1.5 Tesla MRI, 32-slice CT, C-arm fluoroscopy unit, soon-to-open I-131 capabilities, ultrasound, endoscopy equipment, dental digital x-ray, and an in-house laboratory. Facilities include a critical care and intensive care unit, multiple digital x-ray suites, and isolation wards, supporting comprehensive patient care across emergency and specialty services. In addition to emergency and specialty care, the hospital also offers Veterinary Rehabilitation services. The ER operates 24/7, allowing the hospital to provide continuous emergency and critical care support within a highly advanced clinical environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
