Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a specialty practice seeking a Veterinary Ophthalmologist to join their referral-only hospital, providing advanced ophthalmic care for small animal and equine patients.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Ophthalmologist will focus on advanced diagnostic and surgical ophthalmic care, managing complex ocular conditions across dogs, cats, and horses. Responsibilities include performing detailed ophthalmic examinations, carrying out specialized surgical procedures such as glaucoma treatments, corneal surgery, and eyelid corrections, and supporting long-term visual health through tailored treatment plans. The role also involves working closely with referring veterinarians to ensure continuity of care and maintaining clear communication with clients. This position is suited to an experienced clinician with a strong interest in specialty medicine and the ability to manage complex referral cases.
Practice Details
The practice is a dedicated referral-only specialty clinic with a strong reputation for excellence, reflected in a 4.8-star rating and its role as a WSU Teaching Clinic, supporting a culture of continuous learning and mentorship. The hospital offers advanced ophthalmology services including glaucoma procedures, microscopic corneal surgery, corneal grafts, eyelid surgeries, and treatment of equine ocular diseases. Facilities support a highly organized workflow designed to enhance communication and allow clinicians to focus on delivering high-level care. The clinic operates Monday to Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and is closed on weekends.

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
