Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Veterinary Ophthalmologist to join their team. This role will focus on providing specialized ophthalmology care for a variety of species, including cats, dogs, exotics, and large animals. The team is expanding to meet the needs of a growing referral base across South Florida.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Saturday, and is closed on Sundays. The position offers flexibility, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available to suit the candidate’s preferences.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves all responsibilities expected of a Veterinary Ophthalmologist. This includes advanced ophthalmic diagnostics, medical and surgical management of ocular diseases, and working collaboratively with referring primary care veterinarians to deliver specialty eye care.

Practice Details
The hospital provides ophthalmology services across multiple locations in South Florida. Their facilities are equipped to support a wide range of advanced ophthalmic procedures and treatments. The team’s culture is focused on collaboration, with a strong emphasis on specialized patient care.

Team
The ophthalmology team currently includes six Veterinary Ophthalmologists working across various locations. They are supported by an experienced and tenured group of support staff who help ensure seamless, high-quality care for patients and clients.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
