An AAHA-accredited small animal hospital in Lake Oswego, Oregon is seeking a Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Veterinary Ophthalmologist to join its established veterinary team. Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 4:00pm, remaining closed on Sundays. Scheduling is structured to support a balanced workload while maintaining consistent access for patients requiring both general practice and urgent care services.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Ophthalmologist will diagnose and manage a wide range of ocular conditions in companion animals, performing advanced ophthalmic diagnostics and microsurgical procedures where required. The role includes collaborating closely with the hospital’s general practice and urgent care veterinarians through internal referrals, developing treatment plans, communicating clearly with clients, and maintaining the hospital’s high standards of patient care. Participation in case discussions and continued professional development is encouraged as part of the hospital’s collaborative clinical environment.

This well-established hospital provides small animal general practice and urgent care services, creating a strong internal referral base for specialty cases. As an AAHA-accredited practice, the hospital maintains rigorous standards for facility operations and patient care protocols. Team
The hospital is supported by a team of 10 veterinarians alongside experienced technicians and dedicated support staff, fostering a collaborative and well-supported clinical environment focused on high-quality patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
