Introduction
Our client is a rapidly growing multi-specialty, emergency, and general practice in North Central Connecticut seeking a full-time board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Oncologist to join their team. Established in 2011, the hospital is committed to providing the most advanced veterinary care while upholding integrity, compassion, sound decision-making, and clear communication.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position within a hospital that operates 24/7 for emergency services. General practice and specialty services are available Monday to Thursday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Oncologist will provide advanced cancer care, including diagnostics, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions, collaborating with a multi-specialty team to deliver the highest quality outcomes. The role involves working closely with clients to guide them through treatment options, coordinating with other specialists, and contributing to the hospital’s mission of excellence in patient care. This position is open to experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
The hospital operates from an 8,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility equipped with digital radiography, color flow ultrasonography, a 16-slice helical CT scanner, video endoscopy/bronchoscopy, and a linear accelerator for radiation therapy. Additional resources include three fully equipped surgical suites, surgical lasers, anesthesia and pain management systems, continuous patient monitoring, and sterilization technology. Services span internal medicine, surgery, medical and radiation oncology, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, laparoscopic surgery, C-sections, dental care, geriatric care, wellness exams, and preventive medicine. The practice fosters a progressive, team-oriented culture with flexible leave policies, mental health awareness, and a collaborative approach to high-quality medicine.

The hospital has 7 DVMs and a great support staff, creating a cooperative and supportive environment dedicated to exceptional patient and client care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
