Introduction
Our client is a 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital hiring for a Veterinary Oncologist. This hospital offers advanced referral and emergency care with dedicated oncology services, providing an opportunity to work within a highly equipped and collaborative environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The role offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time availability.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The position is suited for an experienced, board-certified or residency-trained Medical Oncologist. Responsibilities include delivering advanced oncology care such as chemotherapy, cancer staging, immunotherapy, bone marrow aspirates, palliative cancer pain treatment, and clinical pathology services. The role involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and contributing to high standards of patient care while supporting and educating colleagues.
Practice Details
The hospital is a VECCS Level 2 certified facility offering Emergency & Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Oncology, and Surgery services. It is equipped with 7 exam rooms, 2 ultrasound suites, onsite MRI, 128-slice CT, fluoroscopy, endoscopy, wound vac, HBOT, EMG, ICU ventilator, video otoscope, and an in-house STAT laboratory. Additional diagnostic tools include blood chemistry, coagulation, and hematology analyzers. The practice also offers advanced services such as laparoscopy and viral testing. The hospital supports a progressive and cutting-edge internship program and is Fear Free Certified, reflecting a commitment to both patient care and professional development.
Team
The team consists of 16 DVMs supported by a highly experienced and tenured support staff, fostering a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
