Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for a Veterinary Oncologist to join their established 24-hour specialty and emergency facility in Vienna, VA. The practice is expanding its oncology service and is seeking an experienced clinician to help deliver comprehensive cancer care within a highly collaborative, multi-specialty environment.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling available, offering the option to work either three or four days per week. The hospital operates 24/7, ensuring seamless support across all specialties.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This position is open to experienced medical oncologists. The role involves the staging and diagnosis of cancer using advanced imaging and diagnostic tools, followed by development and delivery of personalized treatment plans. Treatment modalities include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and palliative care. The hospital also offers electrochemotherapy, which combines electric pulse technology with localized chemotherapy to enhance treatment efficacy in a wide range of tumor types.
Practice Details
The practice is equipped with a 16-slice CT scanner, ultrasound, endoscopy, and has access to fluoroscopy and radiologist consultation. The oncology department utilizes diagnostic radiology and in-house analyzers to support staging and treatment planning. Services offered at the hospital include Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology, Oncology, Surgery, Rehabilitation, and Cardiology. The practice maintains a strong focus on continued learning and supports multiple internship programs.

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
