Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a specialty and emergency hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, seeking a full-time Veterinary Oncologist to join their collaborative and experienced team. This hospital serves as a referral center for more than 2,000 veterinarians across five states and is dedicated to delivering advanced, compassionate care to patients and their families.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling options designed to promote a balanced work-life culture. The hospital operates 24/7, but there are no after-hours or on-call requirements for this role.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Oncologist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of oncology cases in collaboration with other specialists and emergency clinicians. The position is suited for a board-certified or residency-trained oncologist who values teamwork, high medical standards, and excellent client service. This role is open to experienced professionals only.

Practice Details
The hospital spans 18,000 square feet and is equipped with a CT scanner, digital radiology, endoscopy, ultrasound, and an I-131 treatment ward. The caseload is diverse, and the environment encourages thorough case workups and interdepartmental collaboration. The hospital emphasizes continued learning and professional development.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
