A privately owned veterinary emergency and referral hospital in Portland, Oregon is seeking a board certified or residency trained Medical Oncologist to join its established specialty team. Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates seven days a week from 7:00am to midnight with inpatient overnight care supported by the emergency and critical care teams. The schedule is designed to provide continuous specialty and emergency coverage while allowing flexibility for specialists within the team.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Oncologist will manage a wide range of oncology referral cases including consultations, diagnostics and development of individualized treatment plans for cancer patients. The role involves collaborating closely with specialists and emergency clinicians to coordinate advanced patient care while contributing to case rounds, hospital education and ongoing clinical development within the team.

This specialty and emergency referral hospital provides advanced veterinary services to patients across Oregon. The hospital includes a wide range of specialties supported by modern diagnostic and treatment capabilities, allowing clinicians to manage complex cases within a fully equipped facility. Team
The hospital is supported by a large multidisciplinary team including four surgeons, two internists, three neurologists, one ophthalmologist, one radiologist and three criticalists alongside a full team of emergency veterinarians, experienced technicians and dedicated support staff.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
