Our client is a hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, hiring a board-certified or residency-trained Surgeon to join their 24-hour emergency and specialty center. As the only full-time facility in the state focused exclusively on advanced specialty and emergency medicine, the hospital provides a unique and collaborative environment for delivering high-level surgical care.

Working Hours / Rota

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Surgeon will join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team, working alongside specialists in Emergency & Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Neurology, and Medical Oncology. Responsibilities include performing a variety of advanced surgical procedures, participating in patient diagnostics, and contributing to collaborative case management. The role is suited to a board-certified surgeon or a residency-trained candidate looking to practice at a high standard in a team-oriented setting.

Practice Details
The hospital is a 17,000 sq. ft. facility recently remodeled to support specialty care. It features 11 exam rooms, four operating rooms, a telemetry-enabled ICU with long-term ventilator support, separate isolation wards for GI and respiratory cases, a step-down unit, and comprehensive in-house lab services. Diagnostic and surgical tools include ultrasound, rigid and flexible endoscopy, a Stryker laparoscopy/arthroscopy tower, two digital radiology suites, helical CT, and on-site MRI. The hospital maintains a strong caseload and supports a range of services including advanced surgery and critical care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
