Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a specialty veterinary hospital hiring for a Veterinary Oncologist. The clinic focuses on advanced surgical and specialty care, with expanding services in oncology, cardiology, and dentistry, offering a collaborative and high-quality medical environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates 24 hours Monday through Friday, Saturday until 5:00 p.m., and is closed on Sundays. The role offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time options available.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian. Responsibilities include delivering oncology services, supporting cancer diagnosis and treatment, and collaborating with the wider specialty team to provide comprehensive patient care. The role involves utilizing advanced diagnostics, contributing to treatment planning, and working within a multidisciplinary environment to ensure the highest standards of patient outcomes.
Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA accredited and Fear Free certified, reflecting a commitment to high standards of care and patient wellbeing. It is equipped with advanced technology including digital radiography, endoscopy, laparoscopy, surgical and therapeutic lasers, in-house laboratory equipment, and ultrasound. Services include soft tissue, orthopedic, and spinal surgery, regenerative medicine, minimally invasive procedures such as thoracoscopy and arthroscopy, and endoscopy across multiple systems. The practice emphasizes advanced medical care supported by modern equipment, strong clinical protocols, and access to internal specialty consultation within a collaborative network.
Team
The team consists of 5 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
