Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Veterinary Medical Oncologist to join their expansive, advanced multidisciplinary team. This position is based within a leading 24/7 emergency and specialty veterinary center that offers world-class medicine, technology, and support across a wide range of specialties. The hospital provides comprehensive oncology services within a state-of-the-art medical oncology suite that includes a bone marrow transplant center.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Full or part-time availability is offered.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role focuses on providing high-level medical oncology services within a collaborative specialty environment. Responsibilities include delivering chemotherapy, cancer staging, palliative cancer pain management, immunotherapy, interventional radiology procedures, radiation treatment, and other advanced oncology techniques. The service also supports angiography, bone marrow aspirates, drain insertions, metronomic therapy, nasojejunal tube placements, vascular and airway foreign body removal, and stent placements. The position is open to board-certified or residency-trained clinicians.

Practice Details
The hospital operates within a three-story, 43,000 sq. ft state-of-the-art facility and is AAHA accredited. It houses nine surgery suites, nineteen examination rooms, two medical procedure rooms, a 1.5 Tesla MRI, 128-slice CT, a dedicated medical oncology suite with a bone marrow transplant center, and a radiation oncology suite equipped with a Trilogy Unit and Eclipse Software. Additional onsite offerings include a large physical therapy and rehabilitation center. The hospital provides wellness and preventive care, 24/7 emergency and critical care, and a full spectrum of specialty services, including anesthesiology, cardiology, dentistry, diagnostic imaging, integrative medicine, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, pet loss support, radiation oncology, and surgery.

Team
The hospital has a team of 48 DVMs supported by a large group of highly trained technicians, support staff, and front office personnel. The environment has a strong culture of teaching, supported by rotating and specialty interns and residents across multiple disciplines.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
