Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Veterinary Oncologist on either a full-time or part-time basis. This 24/7 specialty and emergency hospital provides advanced care for cats, dogs, avians, and exotic animals and is looking for a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Oncologist to join its growing specialty team.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As a Veterinary Oncologist, you will provide advanced oncology care while collaborating with colleagues, clients, and the referral community to deliver comprehensive treatment plans. Your clinical responsibilities include chemotherapy, immunotherapy, metastasis evaluation (staging), palliative therapy, surgery for the removal of cancerous cells and tumors, electrochemotherapy, and participation in clinical studies evaluating novel cancer therapies. You will also collaborate closely with Anesthesia, Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Critical Care specialists to ensure the highest standard of patient care. This opportunity is suited to experienced veterinarians who are board-certified or residency-trained.

Practice Details
This AAHA-accredited specialty and emergency hospital operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and provides emergency services alongside Ophthalmology, with plans to expand additional specialty services. The hospital is staffed by experienced emergency veterinarians who are comfortable hospitalizing and overseeing specialty cases, creating a collaborative environment for patient care. Oncology services include chemotherapy, immunotherapy, metastasis evaluation, palliative therapy, surgery, electrochemotherapy, and access to clinical studies. Radiation therapy is available through affiliated hospitals within the network. The hospital also offers collaboration with Anesthesia, Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Critical Care specialists, along with tailored on-call schedules designed to support work-life balance.

Team
The hospital has 11 DVMs and a great tenured support team. The collaborative environment includes experienced emergency clinicians, highly skilled support staff, and close partnerships with specialists across the regional hospital network to deliver exceptional specialty care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
