Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital seeking a Veterinary Oncologist to join their team, offering either full-time or part-time opportunities.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Oncologist will lead the delivery of advanced oncology services, focusing on both patient care and clinical leadership. Responsibilities include overseeing medical oncology cases, advising on clinical policies and procedures, and ensuring the highest standards of care and client experience. You will maintain strong relationships with referring veterinarians, provide mentorship and coaching to the clinical team, and support the development and training of staff. Additional duties include monitoring medical quality, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and contributing to continuous improvement of clinical operations. This role is suited to an experienced veterinarian. The position offers a 4-day work week with dedicated administrative time for leadership responsibilities and no nights or weekends.
Practice Details
This hospital provides specialized oncology services, including medical oncology, radiation oncology, diagnostic imaging, stereotactic radiation therapy, outpatient imaging, and electrochemotherapy. The practice operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and is closed on weekends. The environment supports high-quality, efficient clinical operations with a focus on both patient outcomes and team development.
Team
The team consists of 4 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team, fostering a collaborative environment with strong clinical support.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
