Job Description

Introduction
Our client is an AAHA-accredited specialty and emergency hospital seeking a full or part-time Veterinary Medical Oncologist to join their team, providing care to dogs and cats in a collaborative, advanced referral environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
In this role, you will deliver specialized oncology care using advanced diagnostics and innovative treatment modalities. Responsibilities include evaluating and diagnosing cancer cases, developing and implementing treatment plans, and administering therapies such as immunotherapy, radiation therapy, and hyperthermia. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of specialists, including surgeons with oncologic experience and an anesthesiologist, to ensure comprehensive patient care. The position also involves working alongside a highly skilled support team, contributing to clinical trials, and maintaining high standards of patient care and client communication. This role is suited to an experienced, board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Medical Oncologist.

Practice Details
This is a state-of-the-art, AAHA-accredited specialty and emergency hospital offering advanced referral services and 24/7 emergency and critical care. The facility is equipped with cutting-edge technology including CT scanners, ultrasound, endoscopy, fluoroscopy, digital radiology, echocardiography platforms, laparoscopic equipment, and advanced surgical instrumentation. The hospital also provides access to unique therapies such as radiation therapy, immunotherapy, and hyperthermia, as well as clinical trials not available elsewhere. A fully staffed intensive care unit supports continuous patient monitoring, and the hospital is undergoing a 20,000-square-foot expansion that will include additional specialty services, MRI capabilities, and advanced surgical suites. Services include emergency care, critical care, internal medicine, surgery, diagnostic imaging, and oncology. The hospital operates 24/7 for emergency services, with oncology services supported during standard weekday hours.

Team
The team consists of 16 DVMs supported by over 20 licensed veterinary technicians and a great tenured support staff, creating a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
