Introduction
Our client is a 24/7 emergency, specialty, and general practice veterinary hospital that is hiring a board-certified or residency trained Veterinary Medical Oncologist [GBT1.1]on either a full-time or part-time basis. Originally established as a small family-run hospital in 1947, the practice has grown significantly over the years to accommodate the needs of a growing pet community while maintaining a collaborative and patient-focused environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role involves a full scope of Medical Veterinary Oncologist responsibilities within a highly advanced multidisciplinary referral environment. The successful candidate will work collaboratively alongside specialists, emergency clinicians, and general practice veterinarians while delivering high-quality oncology care and patient management. Specific doctor hours will be discussed. This opportunity is suited to an experienced Veterinary Medical Oncologist [GBT2.1]looking to practice within a well-supported and progressive specialty hospital.

Practice Details
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Equipment available includes, but is not limited to, three ultrasound units, video endoscopy, thoracoscopy, laparoscopy, bronchoscopy and arthroscopy equipment, ventilators, high flow oxygen, expansive anesthetic and critical care monitoring devices, a 64-slice CT scanner, two digital X-ray units, Ligasure vessel sealing equipment, an in-house laboratory, underwater and land treadmills, therapeutic laser, ultrasound, EMS, TENS, and complete blood products. The hospital also features an intensive care unit, in-office surgical suite, and in-house pharmacy, supporting a highly advanced clinical environment. The practice has been AAHA accredited for over 50 years and also houses a Fear Free Certified Professional. Services offered include emergency, specialty, and general practice care, with specialty services including dermatology, internal medicine, surgery, diagnostic imaging, emergency and critical care, orthopedic surgery, advanced dental care, oxygen therapy, and transfusion therapy. In addition, the hospital also offers pet boarding, nutritional counseling, pet grooming, and DNA breed testing.

Team
The practice is home to a team of nine veterinarians supported by a strong group of tenured support staff. The environment includes a collaborative mix of veterinarians from general practice, emergency, and multiple specialties, including Diplomates in general practice, dermatology, cardiology, surgery, oncology, internal medicine, emergency critical care, and rehabilitation, creating a highly collaborative and supportive clinical setting.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
