Job Description

Introduction
Our client is an animal hospital that is hiring for a Veterinary Oncologist. The hospital provides a combination of general practice and 24/7 emergency care within a state-of-the-art environment, offering comprehensive and compassionate care supported by a long-standing presence in the community.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open 24/7. This position can be full or part time.

Role Description and Responsibilities
Clinical responsibilities include providing oncology services within a dedicated oncology department equipped with advanced diagnostic tools, as well as contributing to comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care through collaboration with the wider clinical team. The role includes working in a multidisciplinary environment that supports continuous learning and professional growth. The position is open to both experienced clinicians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital will be moving in mid-June 2025 to a brand-new 8,000 sq ft facility that triples its current size. Equipment includes CT, ultrasound, comprehensive diagnostic technology, and advanced imaging. Facilities include eight exam rooms, three surgical suites, a dedicated oncology department with CT, ultrasound, and a radiology suite, and full surgical capabilities. The hospital is AAHA accredited. Services offered include emergency care, emergency diagnostics, emergency surgery, critical care and ICU, wellness memberships, pet diagnostics, CT scan, dental care, laser therapy, vaccinations, health certificates for international travel, and nutritional counseling.

Team
There are 11 DVMs and a great support team comprising over 60 veterinary professionals with extensive experience and ongoing in-hospital training.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
