Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for a Veterinary Neurologist position. The hospital provides advanced veterinary care and is seeking an experienced, board-certified or residency-trained neurologist to deliver high-level specialty services as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time or part-time opportunity. Specific working days, weekend coverage, doctor hours, and after-hours requirements are to be discussed with the practice. The hospital operates as a 24-hour emergency, specialty, and primary care facility.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role is open to experienced veterinarians only, specifically those who are board-certified or residency-trained in neurology. Clinical responsibilities focus on advanced neurological care, including seizure diagnosis and management, cerebrospinal fluid collection and analysis, non-surgical spinal cord disease diagnosis and management, and advanced neurosurgical procedures such as hemilaminectomy, dorsal laminectomy, and ventral slot surgery. The neurologist will work closely with other specialty and emergency teams to provide comprehensive, world-class patient care and contribute to a collaborative and teaching-focused environment.

Practice Details
The hospital delivers advanced specialty and emergency services supported by extensive infrastructure and technology. Equipment includes a 1.5T MRI, anesthesia machines and ventilators, and scoping equipment. The facility features 9 exam rooms, 2 reception areas, 2 treatment areas, and 2 surgical suites. Services offered include neurology, surgery, internal medicine, and emergency and critical care, with advanced emergency capabilities such as mechanical ventilation, continuous ECG monitoring, direct blood pressure monitoring, transfusion therapy, and advanced oxygen therapies. The practice culture emphasizes innovation, development of best practices, collaboration, and delivering advanced care with a client-centered approach.

Team
The hospital is supported by 15 DVMs and a strong support team, fostering a collaborative environment where specialists, emergency clinicians, and support staff work closely together to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
