Introduction
Our client is a hospital looking to hire a Veterinary Neurologist on either a full-time or part-time basis. This state-of-the-art veterinary hospital is dedicated to specialty and emergency medicine, providing advanced care for cats and dogs. This is an outstanding opportunity for a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Neurologist to join a collaborative referral hospital delivering exceptional patient care.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of Medical Veterinary Neurologist responsibilities, providing advanced neurological care for cats and dogs with complex medical conditions. You will perform comprehensive neurological examinations, develop diagnostic and treatment plans, interpret advanced diagnostic findings, manage both medical and surgical neurology cases, and work closely with clients to provide clear communication throughout each stage of patient care. You will collaborate with specialists across multiple disciplines to deliver coordinated care while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence and client service. Specific working hours will be discussed further. This opportunity is suited to board-certified or residency-trained veterinary neurologists.
Practice Details
The practice provides the full scope of Emergency & Critical Care, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurology, and Medical Oncology services, offering a diverse and complex referral caseload. The hospital is equipped with, but not limited to, comprehensive In-House Laboratory equipment, Ultrasound units, Video Rigid and Flexible Endoscopy, a Stryker Laparoscopy/Arthroscopy Tower, two Digital X-ray suites, Helical CT, and an on-site MRI, supporting advanced diagnostics and patient care. Facilities include a newly remodelled 17,000-square-foot hospital with 11 exam rooms, four operating rooms, a dedicated ICU with telemetry and long-term ventilator, separate GI and respiratory isolation wards, and a supplementary step-down unit. The hospital is accredited by the Feline Veterinary Medical Association. The hospital is open 24 hours Monday through Thursday, Friday from 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM, closed on Saturdays, and Sunday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
Team
You will be joining a team of 10 board-certified specialists in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Emergency and Critical Care, Neurology, Oncology, and Diagnostic Imaging. They are supported by an exceptional group of licensed veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, and client service representatives. The culture is highly collaborative, with doctors and staff working together to deliver outstanding patient care and client service in a supportive and teaching-focused environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
