Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Veterinary Neurologist to join their team. This opportunity is open to both full-time and part-time candidates and involves working with cats and dogs in a specialist referral and emergency setting, delivering advanced neurological care within a highly collaborative environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role focuses on both medical and surgical neurology, including advanced diagnostics, case management, and performing complex neurological procedures such as spinal and brain surgery. Responsibilities include interpreting MRI and CT imaging, conducting neurologic examinations, managing seizure disorders, and collaborating closely with other specialty and emergency teams. The position also involves teaching and mentoring interns, residents, and colleagues through both formal and informal training. This opportunity is suited to an experienced, residency-trained or board-certified neurologist who thrives in a high-caseload, team-oriented environment.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 8:00pm and Saturday to Sunday from 8:00am to 4:00pm. It is a VECCS Level 1, state-of-the-art facility equipped with advanced technology including a 64-slice CT scanner, 1.5T MRI, multiple ultrasound units, C-Arm with neurovascular platform, wireless telemetry, ventilators, volumetric capnography, and an on-site reference laboratory with a clinical pathologist. Services offered include neurology and neurosurgery, internal medicine, surgery, diagnostic imaging, emergency and critical care, oncology, avian and exotics, and clinical pathology. The hospital provides comprehensive diagnostic capabilities including MRI, CT, digital radiography, myelography, CSF analysis, and nerve and muscle biopsy, supporting advanced neurological care within a multidisciplinary environment.

Team
The team consists of 43 DVMs supported by a tenured and highly experienced support staff, including technicians, assistants, and department-specific client liaisons, creating a collaborative and specialist-driven environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
