Introduction
Our client is a rapidly growing multi-specialty, emergency, and general practice in North Central Connecticut seeking a full-time Veterinary Internist to join their dedicated team. Established in 2011, the hospital offers a high level of medical care in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, providing services from general wellness to advanced specialty and emergency care.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position within a hospital that operates 24/7 for emergency services. General practice and specialty services run Monday to Thursday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Internist will manage and treat a wide range of complex internal medicine cases, working closely with other specialists in surgery, oncology, and radiology. The role involves delivering high-quality, compassionate care, collaborating on cases, and contributing to the hospital’s commitment to excellence in veterinary medicine. This position is open to experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
The hospital operates from an 8,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility equipped with advanced technology, including three fully equipped surgical suites, surgical lasers, anesthesia and pain management systems, continuous patient monitoring, and access to a board-certified radiologist for image review. Services include internal medicine, medical and radiation oncology, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, laparoscopic surgery, emergency C-sections, and comprehensive general practice offerings such as wellness exams, vaccinations, dental care, geriatric care, and preventive medicine. The practice maintains a high tech-to-DVM ratio and offers a supportive culture with flexible leave, mental health awareness, and a commitment to work-life balance.

Team
The hospital has 7 DVMs and a great support staff, fostering a collaborative and progressive work environment where everyone contributes to delivering exceptional patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
