Our client is a 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital hiring for a Veterinary Internist. This hospital provides advanced referral services and is equipped with world-class technology and facilities, supporting specialists in delivering high-quality internal medicine care within a collaborative environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The role offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time availability.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This position is suited for an experienced, board-certified or residency-trained Internist. Responsibilities include delivering comprehensive internal medicine care, performing procedures such as abdominocentesis, arthrocentesis, bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, cystoscopy, and thoracocentesis, as well as advanced diagnostics and treatments including BAL, endoscopy, esophagoscopy, gastroduodenoscopy, rhinoscopy, and management of complex conditions such as liver shunts and esophageal strictures. The role also involves providing treatments such as radioactive iodine therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and nutritional support, alongside collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and contribution to patient care from diagnosis through aftercare.

Practice Details
The hospital is a VECCS Level 2 certified facility offering Emergency & Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Surgery, neurology and neurosurgery, and general surgery services. It features 7 exam rooms, 2 ultrasound suites, onsite MRI, 128-slice CT, fluoroscopy, endoscopy, wound vac, HBOT, EMG, ICU ventilator, video otoscope, and an in-house STAT laboratory. The practice supports a progressive and cutting-edge internship program and is focused on improving patient, client, and staff wellbeing through a Fear Free initiative. The hospital provides 24-hour admissions and continuous care on weekends and holidays, delivering comprehensive, specialized care in partnership with referring veterinarians.

Team
The team consists of 16 DVMs supported by a highly experienced and tenured support staff, creating a collaborative and supportive working environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
