Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for a Veterinary Internist to join their established specialty and emergency practice in Rock Hill, South Carolina. This full-service referral hospital supports a broad range of advanced services and is seeking an experienced Internal Medicine Specialist to enhance their multidisciplinary team.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position. The hospital operates 24/7, providing around-the-clock emergency and specialty care. Scheduling is flexible for experienced candidates, with no after-hours on-call requirements.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This position is open to experienced internists. The role involves managing complex internal medicine cases referred from general practices and other specialists, with a strong focus on timely diagnosis, personalized treatment plans, and close collaboration with referring veterinarians. The Internist will utilize advanced imaging and in-house diagnostics to guide care and will also handle outpatient ultrasound referrals. A commitment to collaborative, high-quality medicine and client communication is essential.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with a CT scanner, ultrasound, digital radiography, in-house laboratory, and pharmacy. These diagnostic tools support efficient, accurate evaluations and allow for prompt initiation of treatment. The hospital sees a diverse caseload and fosters a supportive, open, and team-oriented culture. Services offered include Internal Medicine, Emergency and Critical Care, Surgery, and Neurology, with access to additional specialties across their regional network.

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
