Introduction
Our client is seeking a full-time Veterinary Internist in Vancouver, Washington. This is an opportunity for a board-certified internist or residency-trained clinician to join a specialty and emergency hospital that has been serving the local community for over 30 years. The hospital operates 24/7 and is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care across a wide range of advanced services.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital provides care 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with scheduling designed to support both specialty caseload management and work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Internist will manage a diverse and challenging caseload, collaborating closely with other specialists and emergency clinicians to deliver advanced care for complex cases. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, performing advanced diagnostic procedures, developing treatment plans, and providing clear communication with both clients and referring veterinarians. The role is ideal for a candidate eager to work in a highly collaborative environment with strong support for clinical excellence.

Practice Details and Team
The hospital operates from a 15,000 square-foot facility remodeled in 2019. The space includes 14 exam rooms, three outpatient procedure rooms, multiple treatment areas, a custom ICU suite, four surgery suites, an endoscopy suite, and a dedicated imaging center. Advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities include MRI, CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, echocardiography, mechanical ventilators, and specialized surgical and neurosurgical equipment. Specialty services currently offered include neurology, surgery, ophthalmology, and critical care, integrated seamlessly with a 24/7 emergency service.

Team Size
The hospital currently has a team of five emergency veterinarians and three board-certified specialists, supported by highly skilled veterinary technicians and administrative staff who contribute to a cohesive and collaborative environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
