Introduction
Our client is a hospital in Thousand Oaks, California, seeking a full-time Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Veterinary Internist to join their specialty and emergency referral center. This 24-hour, multi-specialty hospital is dedicated to providing advanced care for cats and dogs in a supportive, collaborative environment where innovation, mutual respect, and professional satisfaction are core values.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling within a 24/7 hospital setting. Weekend and after-hours coverage may be required based on caseload and collaborative care demands.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Internist will manage complex internal medicine cases, working closely with the emergency team and other board-certified specialists. Responsibilities include diagnostics, case management, client communication, and collaboration with referring veterinarians. The role is suited for an experienced internal medicine clinician who values teamwork and high-level patient care.

The hospital is equipped with an extensive range of advanced diagnostic tools including digital radiography, CT scans, ultrasonography, endoscopy, fluoroscopy, and echocardiography. Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
