Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a multi-specialty and emergency hospital seeking a full-time Internist to join their established internal medicine service. This is a dedicated specialty environment focused on providing advanced care for cats and dogs, and the position is designed for a board-certified internist who will contribute to a high-quality clinical team.

Working Hours / Rota
The specialty teams operate Monday through Friday from 8am to 6pm, with the hospital closed on Saturdays and Sundays. This full-time role offers doctor hours that remain open to discussion, allowing for flexibility within the hospital’s specialty schedule.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Internist will focus on delivering high-level internal medicine care, supported by a broad range of on-site specialty services. Clinical duties will align with the advanced capabilities of the hospital, and the role is reserved for a board-certified internist with experience in managing complex medical cases.

Practice Details
This recently remodeled, 18,000-sqft specialty hospital supports a diverse caseload and maintains a great atmosphere with an established referral base. In addition to internal medicine, the team offers emergency care, critical care, diagnostic imaging, ICU, medical oncology, neurology, surgery, and radiation oncology. The hospital is equipped with digital radiography, a 16-slice CT with 3D reconstruction abilities, a Halcyon Linear Accelerator, ultrasound, MRI, and a full in-house laboratory. Additional capabilities include fluoroscopy, laparoscopy, and scope towers for urinary, gastrointestinal, nasal, and orthopedic cases.

Team
The hospital is staffed with a huge team of DVMs across multiple specialties, supported by a highly trained team of support staff who contribute to a collaborative and well-structured clinical environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
