Our client is a hospital in San Juan Capistrano, CA, seeking a Board-Certified or Residency Trained Veterinary Internist to join their dedicated and growing Internal Medicine team. This 24-hour specialty and emergency referral hospital is recognized for its high-quality, advanced medicine and compassionate, individualized care. Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates seven days a week, offering 24/7 emergency services and weekday specialty care. This is a full-time Veterinary Internist role, with a consistent weekday schedule supported by a team of emergency veterinarians and highly trained internal medicine technicians.

Role Description and Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Internist committed to delivering advanced, empathetic medical care. Clinical responsibilities include diagnosing and treating complex diseases affecting the immune, cardiovascular, pulmonary, urinary, gastrointestinal, and endocrine systems. You will work closely with referring veterinarians and collaborate with other specialists to provide a team-based approach to patient care. The role involves performing advanced diagnostics and procedures using state-of-the-art equipment, creating tailored treatment plans, and managing cases such as diabetes mellitus, Cushing’s disease, renal failure, and infectious diseases.

Practice Details
The hospital is a 10,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility built in 2010, designed to support advanced internal medicine and specialty services. It features a large intensive care unit, special procedure rooms, an on-site CT scanner, digital radiography, fluoroscopy, Doppler ultrasound, and extensive monitoring equipment. Additional advanced equipment includes laparoscopic, thoracoscopic, and endoscopic instrumentation, a Karl Storz scoping tower, and a Respironics ventilator for long-term ventilation. A complete in-house laboratory ensures accurate and timely diagnoses. Services include internal medicine, cardiology, emergency and critical care, and on-call surgical support.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
