Introduction
Our client is a specialty and emergency veterinary hospital located in Rock Hill, South Carolina, seeking a Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist to join their established, multi-disciplinary team. The hospital provides advanced referral and emergency services to the greater Charlotte metropolitan area and beyond, offering a supportive and collaborative environment for specialists to thrive.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position offering flexibility in scheduling to accommodate both professional and personal commitments. The hospital’s specialty services operate Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, while emergency services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, ensuring seamless patient care and support for referral partners.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Internal Medicine Specialist will manage complex medical cases, perform advanced diagnostics, and collaborate closely with other specialists to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care. Clinical responsibilities include internal diagnostics, endoscopy, ultrasound, and case management for patients requiring specialized medical attention. The role emphasizes teamwork and communication within a multi-specialty environment, ensuring continuity of care across departments. This position is ideal for either experienced specialists or candidates completing their residency who value a collegial, supportive, and forward-thinking workplace culture.

Practice Details
The hospital is part of a respected regional network comprising six full-service specialty and emergency referral centers across the Carolinas. Each facility offers a wide range of referral services, including Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Cardiology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Behavior, Emergency, and Avian/Exotics, alongside 24-hour emergency and critical care. The Rock Hill location is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, and dedicated intensive care facilities. The hospital is designed to support collaboration between departments and to facilitate the highest standards of veterinary medicine.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
