Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Veterinary Internist to join their collaborative specialty and emergency team. The hospital provides 24-hour emergency and critical care services and is looking for a Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Internal Medicine Specialist to deliver advanced diagnostic and medical care within a supportive, specialist-focused environment.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a Full-Time or Part-Time opportunity with a structured Monday–Friday schedule. There are no holidays, no on-call responsibilities. The hospital itself is open 24/7, including all major holidays, providing continuous emergency and critical care services.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Internist will manage a wide range of complex internal medicine cases, including gastrointestinal, endocrine, immune-mediated, infectious, respiratory, and hematologic conditions. Responsibilities include performing and interpreting advanced diagnostics, developing individualized treatment plans, maintaining clear and compassionate client communication, and collaborating closely with emergency clinicians and referring veterinarians to ensure seamless continuity of care. The Internist will also serve as a clinical resource and mentor for veterinarians and support staff. This role is open to experienced veterinarians who are Board-Certified or Residency-Trained in Internal Medicine.

Practice Details
The hospital provides top-tier 24-hour emergency and critical care for small animals and serves Redlands and the surrounding communities. It features advanced medical equipment and facilities, including imaging, endoscopy, and an in-house laboratory. Additional services include emergency care medicine, procedures, Casco kennels, and end-of-life services. The role includes a dedicated private office and dedicated treatment space, a strong referral base, and collaboration within a veterinarian-led leadership structure that supports specialist autonomy and clinical excellence.

Team
The team includes five DVMs and a fantastic support team, including experienced veterinarians and registered veterinary technicians. The environment is collaborative, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, continuity of care, and specialist support.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
