Our client is a specialty veterinary hospital in Ontario, California, seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Internist to join their team. This hospital is part of a network of state-of-the-art facilities that provide world-class specialty and emergency care across Southern California. The practice is known for delivering advanced medicine with compassion and collaboration, supported by a multidisciplinary team of specialists.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, offering flexibility for full-time or part-time availability. Scheduling can be tailored to support a healthy work-life balance within this busy and dynamic hospital environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinary Internist will provide expert internal medicine care while collaborating with a team of specialists in surgery, oncology, radiology, and emergency and critical care. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing and managing complex internal medicine cases, performing advanced diagnostics and procedures such as endoscopy, ultrasound, MRI, CT, and fluoroscopy, and contributing to the hospital’s culture of teaching and mentorship through its successful rotating internship program. This role is ideal for a dedicated specialist who values teamwork, lifelong learning, and delivering cutting-edge care with empathy and professionalism.

Practice Details
The hospital spans 14,000 square feet with 10 exam rooms and three surgical suites. It is equipped with advanced technology, including a 1.5 Tesla MRI, multiple ultrasounds, CT with automatic injector, fluoroscopy, endoscopy, laparoscopic and thoracoscopic instrumentation, and a fully equipped in-house laboratory. Services include orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, physical rehabilitation, oncology, neurology, stenting procedures, cataract and brain surgery, stem cell therapy, and more. The hospital’s network provides seamless collaboration across sister facilities in Murrieta and Carlsbad.

The Ontario hospital is home to 14 DVMs, including specialists in multiple disciplines, supported by trained technical and support staff. The environment is collaborative, mentorship-focused, and designed to provide both exceptional patient care and professional growth opportunities.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
