Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for a Veterinary Internist position. The hospital delivers advanced veterinary care for companion animals as well as avian and exotic pets, and is seeking an experienced internal medicine specialist to join a collaborative, high-standard clinical team.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital provides emergency services seven days a week from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. General practice services are available by appointment, and specialty services operate on a referral or appointment basis. The role is available on a full-time or part-time basis. Specific doctor schedules, weekend rotations, and after-hours requirements are to be discussed with the practice.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role is open to experienced veterinarians only. Clinical responsibilities include diagnosing, treating, and managing complex internal medicine cases for companion animals, collaborating closely with general practitioners and other specialists to develop comprehensive treatment plans, and communicating clearly with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and prognoses. The Veterinary Internist will also mentor and educate veterinary technicians and support staff, remain current with advances in veterinary medicine, and contribute to community education and outreach initiatives.

The hospital provides advanced, high-quality veterinary care supported by modern medical technologies and a multidisciplinary clinical approach. Services offered include vaccinations and preventive care, routine exams, dental care, acupuncture, geriatric care, puppy and kitten services, veterinary surgery including orthopedic and soft tissue procedures, and care for avian and exotic pets such as birds, reptiles, and small mammals. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
