Introduction
Our client is a specialty veterinary hospital seeking a Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist to join their team in Matthews, North Carolina. This hospital provides advanced care for companion animals and is part of a network of emergency and specialty referral facilities across the Carolinas.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates 24/7 for emergency services, ensuring round-the-clock patient care. Specialty services, including internal medicine, are provided Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This is a full-time position with a focus on a healthy work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Internal Medicine Specialist will manage complex medical cases, working alongside a team of highly trained specialists and emergency clinicians. Responsibilities include advanced diagnostics, patient management, and treatment planning, with access to a wide range of specialty referral services. The role requires a board-certified or residency-trained veterinarian in internal medicine, offering the opportunity to collaborate in a supportive, positive, and team-focused environment.

Practice Details
The Matthews facility is fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including a CT scanner, digital radiology with PetRays review, advanced ultrasound, full in-house laboratory, endoscopy, and laparoscopy. Services offered include specialty care in neurology, oncology, cardiology, surgery, radiation therapy, internal medicine, and emergency services. The practice culture emphasizes communication, collaboration, and professional growth while delivering the highest standards of patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
