Our client is a hospital hiring for a Veterinary Internist. This is a 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Internal Medicine Specialist to join its multidisciplinary team. The hospital provides specialty and emergency services for small animals and is AAHA accredited, offering a collaborative environment supported by advanced medical infrastructure.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position. The hospital operates as a 24-hour emergency and specialty facility. Specific doctor hours are not listed, but the role is based within a continuously operating hospital setting.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This opportunity is open to experienced veterinarians who are board-certified or residency-trained in Internal Medicine. Clinical responsibilities include advanced internal medicine diagnostics and procedures such as abdominocentesis, arthrocentesis, bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL), bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, cystoscopy, endoscopy including foreign body removal, esophagoscopy, gastroduodenoscopy, rhinoscopy, thoracocentesis, tracheal stent placement, urethral stent placement, esophageal stricture management including ballooning, supplemental feeding tube placement and management, and diagnosis and medical management of liver shunts. The Internist will collaborate closely with specialists in surgery, cardiology, radiology, oncology, and emergency and critical care, while contributing to a teaching environment that includes rotating interns and specialty interns.

This is a 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association. The hospital offers specialty services in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Cardiology, Radiology, Oncology, and Emergency & Critical Care. It functions as a teaching hospital with a robust rotating internship program, cardiology specialty interns, and visiting extern students. The facility supports advanced internal medicine procedures and interventional techniques within a collaborative specialty network.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
